3 hours. Today I experimented with burning paper because I was trying to think outside of the box and truthfully couldn’t find a good mockup of what I wanted online. I had been looking for some burnt paper mockups but couldn’t really find something close to what I had envisioned. However, after stepping outside with some copy paper and a lighter I got to work burning holes and making scans for photoshop and illustrator later. This was a fun exercise and re-ignited my use of practical or real materials in the design process.
I felt that what I could do was almost limitless if I just decide to put the work in my own hands instead of trying to find a way to cut the corner, which is something I feel that I’ve grown so accustomed to in my work. I hate feeling that way and want desperately in my private thoughts to make a change.
